Estate Argyros - Santorini 750ml
White, Dry, Still, Assyrtiko
The most important bottling of the estate, the essence of what Estate Argyros stands for. Meticulously selected parcels, with ages exceeding a century, from top quality areas of the island, mainly Messaria, Karterados, Pyrgos, Megalochori and Akrotiri. Fermented in stainless steel at cool temperatures and aged for two months in stainless steel tanks on fine lees. A copybook Santorini, at least under the Argyros lenses, showing purity and race without excesses, developing for at least a decade.

It is produced from the Merlot varietal with a small presence of Agiorgitiko.
Conventional red vinification methods are followed, with a long maceration period. Once malolactic fermentation is complete, it is aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels, where its rich character is rounded out.
The wine is a dense ruby colour with aromas of red fruit (plums and wild cherries), alternating harmoniously with notes of cedar, spices, vanilla, dark chocolate and nutmeg.
It has a rich mouth-feel with generous, robust tannins, good structure and intensely fruity, long finish.
It is a long-term cellared wine, served at 16-18°C.
