Douloufakis Winery - Sangiovese Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml
This blend of Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon offers up mildly spicy notes enhanced by nuances of tobacco, cherry, dark chocolate and Cretan herbs on the nose. Medium -to full- bodied with a dense, chewy structure; moderate tannins, a complex black-fruit-dominated palate and terrific length.
Method vinification : Classic red vinification, separate for each variety.
Variety : Sangiovese 70% - Cabernet Sauvignon 30%
Wine Description : The inspiration for this wine is drawn from Italy where the winemaker studied enology in Alba, Piemonte. He planted Sangiovese when he returned back in Crete, trying to experiment with international varieties. This wine reflects the creativity of the winemaker and the unique Cretan terroir.
Ageing : Aged for 1 year in new French oak barrels.

Vineyards – micro climate : The sun and the heat of the Mediterranean climate offer maturity and volume but also give a Cretan twist and character.
